If one was to use a piece of hardware supported from the vendor by installing the driver using the oem.tgz method does that mean VMWare ESXi classes you as using unsupported hardware? I have been told this in turn means you are not able to get any sort of support from VMWare but I cant actually find any information on that.
My boss is telling me to use an Adaptec card and Id like to use a 3ware one. Money is not the problem as the two cards are similar in terms of price.
If someone could shed some light on this for me Id appreciate it.
