Using RDM on SATA Disks

Hi all

i want to move all files on sata disk to my storage but i would like to start this sata disk on esx server using RDM. Its possible ?

I dont wanna move this files by network!

Hi Andre,

i want to migrate files existing on my sata drive to an vmdisk on my datastore but i dont want to do that using network. Do you have any option?

If you do the RDM as Andre suggested then the disk/files will appear to be inside a VMDK. You can then move or copy them from within a virtual machine to wherever you need to.
