Used RCLI to install latest patch.....issues(FIXED)

EDIT: I found out what the issue was. During some work yesterday in another building I had to put my laptop on a DHCP assigned address. I forgot that was on and so our firewall was preventing me to use the remote console in VIC to see my VMS. I changed my IP back to the static IP I have and it all worked out well. I also got update manager running in VIC so in the future I will not have to use the command line.

I have two ESXi 3.5 u2 servers running. I am installing the new patch today to fix the date/licensing bug. We don't have Virtual Center here so I used the Remote CLI to install the patch esxe350-200807812-O-BG.zip. I followed this doc on how to perfrom the patch update:

All the steps listed in the URL I posted above is the only steps I have taken so far. It says the patch uploaded successfully and then it told me to reboot which I did. Hoever now I cannot console into any of my VMs. The VMs are up and running and I can tell this becasue thier network services are running. When I try to connect via the console in VI it times out and I cannot even use dameware to remote in. I am assuming this is a VMWare Tools issue. How can I remedy this?

Thanks
