Hi All
I had a server running ESXi from a flash drive. Unfortunately the flash drive got damaged. What is the best possible solution for this type of situation. Please advise.
Thank you.
Install a new 3.5 to USB. ESXi should automatically detect the datastore. If you have a backup of your configuration you can restore it otherwise you will need to reconfigure. You will also need to browse the datastore and manually "add to inventory" all your VMs. Unless you have a complicated setup reconfiguring and adding back the inventory shouldn't take more than a few minutes.

I assume, what DSTAVERT posted is the only possible thing that can be done in this case.
ESXi has to be installed on the USB and it will detect the storage. Then add the VMs to the inventory manually.
Thank you very much for your help.
