TCP error powerering on a virtual machine.

To All,

On a brand new esx3i update 2 server; the default network configuration, ie the vmnetwork and management are using the same network interface;

After creating a virtual machine, basic w2k3 server, when the virtual machine is powered on the vm console does not show the bios but shows a ribbon across the top of the console that says:

"Cannot find TCP protocol: The requested name is valid and was found in the database, but it does not have the correct associated data being resolved for"

Removal of the network interface for the virtual machine has no effect, the error message appears every time a VM is powered on. All other types of virtual machines exhibit the same error.

Any thoughts greatly Appreciated.

How did you build this VM and install w2k3?

The VM was created normally with the VI client.

Solved the problem, was the Client workstation, corrupted TCP Stack on Win XP, Go figure..
