Does anyone else get really slow performance when using the VI client? Slow to log in, sluggish to respond? The desktop computers at work do have a huge amount of processes loaded onto them but still they are fast machines with plenty of ram. I seem to remember someone on the forums had a list of tweaks you can do to speed up the client but can't seem to find the post.
Basically you edit the shortcut to start VIC and change compatiblity mode to 'Disable Desktop Composition'. Other than that the speed is directly related to the backend database, if it's not loading the visual elements on the screen, its awaiting data.
