After 3 failed attempts at a backup I was left with several snapshots. I did a remove all but am left with delta files. There appear to be two methods of commiting the deltas. The first is to shut down the VM and clone the disk. The second is to create a new snapshot from the command line and then do another remove all. SInce the VM is running I would rather not shut it down. Any one had much experience / success with either method.

Anyone with some past experience here?
I've used the clone disk method before to get around this problem, and it worked fine for me.
Thanks for your response.
This was a shut down the server and clone correct? I just hate the though of shutting down the server. Did you have multiple delta files?
Yes, I had to do it with the server shut down. I did have multiple Delta files - when I tried to remove the snapshot it failed and I had to manually collapse all of the Delta files into one.
Thank you kind sir. I shall give it a try.
I assume I can blame you if it goes wrong. :smileylaugh:
