Last week, I became aware that a drive used as a Datastore for temporary project locked up. Unfortunately, one VM was homed on that drive and another had a single disk pointed there for temporary storage. With regard to the latter, that data was indeed temporary and it was fine to lose it.
However, I'd like to recover the VM if possible.
Over the weekend, I physically rebooted that server and VMWare now shows more space on which I can create a DataStore, however ESXi says it's going to wipe the storage space.
Is there a way to :
1. Explore the contents of that disconnected storage?
2. Relink the space to ESXi?
