It's been over 1 year so hopefully you got your answer. If not, the SEL is the System Event Log. The alert indicates it is full and the warning indicates it is nearly full. I have Dell's instead of IBM's but fo rthe Dell's you just clear the log using OpenManage, Dell's server hardware agent.
