Problem having 8 processors (4 in work)

Hi I gave ESXI installed on my server with two four-core processors. When I create new virtual machine I can specify only 4 VIRTUAL processors. So every time any 4 PHYSICAL processors from my 8 are busy and the other 4 processors relax. How can I make all processors to work?

The only way for a VM to see 8 vCPU's you must be at vSphere 4 Enterprise Plus, otherwise your configuration maximum is 4 vCPU's

welcome to the forums - also t add to troy's correct answer - i am curious why do you need 4 vcpus? best practice is to start with a single vcpu ad add more if needed
