New ESXi 3.5 update cannot be applied

Hi all,

I downloaded latest ESXi 3.5 patch released just today. However it seems it cannot be applied. I use the same method as before (VMware infrastructure update). The error is that it cannot update the VI client. Did not have this issue with previous updates. Any help would be appreciated.

Tried to stop all VMs, reboot the host. No luck. Also tried to download and cache the zip file, and check for updates via the interface. No luck.

I have been trying for two days to apply this update and no luck (any surpise? it's VM-Ware... I used to work with one of the largest companies that used VMWare, we had issues like this all the time... nothing is tested and QA'd before it's released)... 

The logs on the host show:

The error logged to hostd.log is:

i have the exact same problem with all our ESXi 3.5 hosts.

I have also tried the patch released this month (ESXe350-201205401-O-SG.zip). still no luck. tried also to do it using command line. here is the output:

We are experiencing this same issue also on our ESXi 3.5 Hosts, any news?
