Network Performance Question

I am sending a 4GB VMDK to the Datastore on my ESXi host.

I am sending it from a wired laptop via a 100Mbit link network. (Laptop -> Switch -> ESXi)

Why is ESXi reporting that the transfer is moving at a slow 1912 Kbps (maximum of 2059 Kbps) ???

If it follows the same as ESX then there is a write limit to the VMFS partition when copying or uploading files
