NFS attributes oddity. ESXi and Windows 2003 SFU 3.5

!file:///C:/Users/sbadmin/AppData/Local/Temp/moz-screenshot.png!!file:///C:/Users/sbadmin/AppData/Local/Temp/moz-screenshot-1.png!I've got an NFS share from a Windows 2003 SP2 server with Unix Services for Windows 3.5.

ESXi can connect to the share, and it can write data as well as read, but the "folders" it creates are shown as files in Datastore Browser. Same for folders windows creates. Windows has correct attributes and the folders work as "folders" in windows explorer, but in esx, they are listed as type: File and date created 31/21/1969 which is clearly not true.

I tried creating a machine to see if it was just a datastore browser hickup but it (predictably) crashed with a general fault, after it created a "folder" that it then decided was a file.

"root" is mapped to my personal domain administrator account at this time - same one I'm using in the picture below.

Anyone know what might be going on?

Any ideas greatly appreciated. ?:|
