Machines Lock on Log-on

Hi guys

Can anyone help, everytime I log on to a VM on ESXi the machine locks up for ateast 5 minutes. It sok when I logon but moments later its frozen. Events activity is stable. I checked the VMTools status and at first the VM Tools are running but then they switch off...after the long pause they're back on again.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the VM Tools but with no joy.

Any ideas please?

What's the performance of the host like if you look at the performance tab or use resxtop from the RCLI. Are you connecting via the console in the VI client or through another method?

The performance tab doesnt seem to express anything dramatic, just casual lines. However, I did decide to shutdown all guests and reboot the host. This seems to have resolved the issue for now, and even VMWare tools seem smoother.:D
