Losing network connectivity with VM Datastore on SAN

Everynight I am losing connectivity to my datastore on the SAN, but only for 1-5 minutes. I am not sure if this is a fiber issue or a VMWARE 3.5 U4 issue. Has anybody else had any issues like this?

With kind of storage do you have?

It's always at the same time? Maybe during a backup?

We have a CX700 EMC SAN.

The SAN is about 2 minutes off, is this the reason why I am getting these errors and why it is losing connection with the SAN?

How do you make the backup? With VCB in SAN mode? You have a single HBA on the VCB?

On your CX do you have some useful log (for example trespass events)?

The backup was setup to back up the files on the VM not the VM itself. I do not see any errors on the logs of the SAN. There are no errors on the VM Server. We do have a single HBA.

Thank you for your help

Sorry... no other ideas.

Just check CX logs, and try also do use VCB in network mode to see the problem is during the mount operation.

We are running NetBackup to back up the files. I am not sure what you mean by network mode by using NetBackup

Thank you
