LSI RAID management

I know that ESXI 3.5 U2 has built in monitoring agents for LSI raid controllers but does it have a built in utility to MANAGE these raid controllers (change settings, etc)?

No it doesn't. Would make it impossible to get a this thin footprint.

I'm wondering how people are performing RAID management without this? You can do it at the BIOS level, but that requires taking the system down any time you need to make a configuration change.

Thanks.

Dave.

It is probably possible to do it with ESX since it includes a full linux service console and LSI does have a Linux (and windows) RAID management utility (CLI). it can perform all the functions that are available in the RAID BIOS. (i've used the DOS one). But unfortunately this isn't possible with ESXi.
