Hello,
I'm looking to purchase a new (inexpesive) raid card for my ESXi host box, I am looking at the Adaptec 1430SA PCI-E card. Does anyone know if it will be detected by ESXi? If not, do you know a good comparable alternative?
Thanks!
Also found this one.. PROMISE FastTrak TX4650 .. any thoughts?
Thanks!
As Troy posted it is best to stick with the HCLs, but if you're just trying this out then here's the list of what ESXi can recognize - http://www.vm-help.com/esx/esx3i/Hardware_support.php. Some items work and are supported, some work, and some don't work.
I have a TX4300 I'm getting ready to try. ESXi has a promise_sata module, so some of them may be supported, but it's hard to tell which ones.
