Import an Old DataStore?

I recently ran into an issue where I had to reinstall ESXi on a computer with two hard disks. ESXi was loaded on one, and the other was my data store for virtual machines. Now, one the fresh install of ESXi, it doesn't see the 2nd hard disk in the data store and when I go to add it I get a message saying that all contents will be lost. Is there a way to import a hard disk that already has VM's on it?

To add the disk to another server see option 3 on page 118.
