IBM x3650 and Internal Disk Storage

I'm pretty new to VM and just installed ESXi 3.5 U2 (with the fix patch

for lic timeout) and I've noticed that on my x3650/7979 systems that

the internal storage does not show up in the Health Status on the VI Client. The documentation says the ESX3.5i isn't yet supported on the x3650 and I've read about DVD/CDROM issues.

Should internal disks show up under the Health Status? It seems like most other functions are showing up.

Also, is there any way for ESX to investigate the RAID settins on the physical host? Most of the time the OS needs some form of RAID software to monitor/investigate the RAID configuration, I have not seen any options for this with the ESXi 3.5 system.

Welcome to the VMware Community forums. For your storage adapter to appear, its a matter of the vender creating CIM providers for ESXi. See this thread as a sample of that discussions - http://communities.vmware.com/message/1004988#1004988.
