How to update ESX Server 3i (3.5.0) to ESXi 3.5 update 3

Hi,

I have ESX Server 3i 3.5.0 (not the free version) installed on my host and I tried to upgarde it to ESXi 3.5 update 3 using the 3.5 update 3 installable I downloaded from VMware site.

The instalation program warns me that this insallable should be used for fresh installs and not for upgrades.

What do I need to do in order to update my host?

Since you are already running a version of 3.5 you could take advantage of Update Manager in Virtual Center to patch your host which would bring it to Update 3.
