How to remove a resource pool that is read-only?

An admin on my ESXi server created a test resource pool and inadvertanly gave everyone read-only access. Now we cannot assigned VM into the resource pool or ever delete it. All admin users only have gray context menus when accessing this resource group.

Is there was way to either for remove a resource group or modify its permissions to again access?

If you have not removed the local administrators group - you might be able to a new local user to that group and gain access that way - by default the local adminstrators group is given admin access at the top level of the inventory -
