Hardware firmware updates + OEM branded ESX 3i

I have a question about OEM branded 3i and hardware firmware updates (BIOS, NIC, etc)

Somebody told me that the firmware of the hardware can be updated with the OEM branded 3i, through VUM, since i have no OEM branded 3i in a lab etc, who can give me some answers on this subject.

I believe it's been discussed here before, and I think you should be fine using VUM to update your OEM-branded ESXi install. Search this forum, if you haven't already - I'm pretty sure someone has already confirmed that.
