Thanks in advance

Hi,

I dont know what that error is but a good starting point is to check your hardware compatability with esxi.

Also I would make sure you have all your VM's backed up and then consider a reinstall of ESX (assuming all the hardware checks out)

Thanks for the reply.

My hardware is all in the hardware compatibility list of vmware, furthermore the same error message is displayed on another x3400 Ibm server with esxi version 3.5.0 12369, this server is up and running with no problems since november

One of my servers has been installed from scratch about 2 weeks ago

This message is nothing to worry about; nothing is actually failing or broken, it is just a warning a kernel table is filling up and not being cleared out fast enough.

Hello,

I have the same kind of errors on an ESXi 3.5.0, 123629:

It seems to appear each times i try to log-in and/or log-out on the ESXi.I log-in and log-out often since i use some scripts on Nagios/Centreon called check_esx3 and check_esx_wbem.py which connect via https to the ESXi

Moreover, i observed in the same time some info like that:

May 13 08:54:36 Hostd: Deprecated pam_stack module called from service "vmware-authd"

last message repeated 2 times

I don't know if these troubles are linked, but every 2 or 3 weeks the VI Client / monitoring become unaviaible and i need to restart Managment Agent or type via ssh: service.sh restart ...

Here is the log at the beginning of the VI Client / Monitoring unavailability:

Thanks for help

EDIT1: I noticed that the oid is different each time i restart managment agent ... It seems to be normal.

Hi ieldan,

I have exactly the same problem.

Did you find a solution since your last post?

Thanks in advance.

Hi VMnoooob,

I didn't really found a solution.

But I had 2 servers using this 2 monitoring's scripts.

Since i reduce to 1 server ... I didn't need to restart "agent network".

But I still have these kind of messages.

Sorry ...

Ieldan.

Thanks for your reply.

I didn't find a solution either...

I'll try to keep you updated if I do.

Can you explain what that means? Or more precisely, what happens if the kernel table does fill up?
