Error with installation on Acer Veriton 7800

Hi,

When I installed ESXi to Acer Veriton 7800, I have the error: "Unable to find a supported device to write the VMware ESX Server 3i 3.5.0 image to"

The PCI ID is "8086:27c0". And I find this inside the supported devices in this link: "http://www.vm-help.com/esx/esx3i/Hardware_support.php".

Can someone help?

Welcome to the VMware Community forums. Update 3 and higher for ESXi changed the driver for ICH7 controllers to IDE which prevents installs to these drives. Try this workaround - http://www.vm-help.com/esx/esx3i/ESXi_install_to_IDE_drive/ESXi_install_to_IDE_drive.php.
