Error 25017 or warning 25033

I'm trying to install VMware Infrastructure Management on WinXp SP2(or WinXP SP3 or Vista x86 SP1) and receive or Error 25017 or warning 25033 from Companion CD for VMware Infrastructure 3 version 3.5. What's wrong?

I'm not quite sure what it is you are trying to install, is it the VI-client ?

Seeing that you have tried to install it on 3 different computers, it might be a bad media.

I would try another CD, or download a new ISO-image from the vmware download section.

Hy,

I'm having the same problem with the installer. (error 25017)

I tried different sources (official cd, downloaded from vmware ) but no changes.

I take a look at my registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\PendingFileRenameOperations (the key doesn't exists)

I search in the registry about "pending" no more result...

With the "whyreboot" program no result...

My system Windows XP Pro SP2 (Fresh install)

Any idea ? (Windows update ?, Windows installer ?)
