Based on this link:
It says
!http://www.vmware.com/files/images/buttons/new_icon.gif!Up to eight-way virtual SMP (symmetric multiprocessing), enabling the virtualization of multiprocessor workloads
Does this mean the Vm supports 8 vCPUs?
or is this a screw up on their website?
Also says the hypervisor is 64-bit
The page has been updated to reflect ESXi 4.0 capabilities. 8 way SMP will require an enterprise plus license - http://www.vmware.com/products/vsphere/buy/editions_comparison.html.
Let me guess...If you own ESX3 Enterprise licenses, they are gonna make you pay extra $$$ for the 8-way SMP?
When is ESXi 4.0 out or download for trial? So that means ESX 3.5 Update 4 is not 8-Way SMP....Very misleading site.
Yes, and they'll toss in a few other features as well :). 4.0 will be available for order on May 21but I don't think a download date has been announced yet.
