ESXi Server

Hello,

I have a DL360 g4p server. I would like to install a version of the now free ESXi server. Can

someone tell me what the highest version of this software is that I can install on this server?

I dont think I can install 4.0.

Many Thanks,

Piyush

Well I am trying to install esxi 3.5 u5, but I cant get past the "loading vmware ISO" screen.

The progess bar at the bottom seems to get stuck, and then gives a disk error(Disk error 80, AX=4280, Drive 9F)

I have created several CDs from different PCs, but the same thing happens.

Anyone have any ideas as to if or how I can move beyond this point.

Try to burn CD on lower speed (x2), it should work, like burn it again on a 2x DVDRW etc.

Please award points if it resolve your issue

Make sure the firmware is up to date.

Have a look at http://communities.vmware.com/message/1266851#1266851. It seems that ESXi 4 might install.
