ESXi 3.5 Update 4 - 64bit support

Could someone confirm that the following is correct:

ESXi 3.5 Update 4 can be installed on 32 or 64bit hardware.

In order to support 64bit guests the CPU must be 64bit and must have VT technology.

ESXi 4 can only be installed on 64bit hardware and support 64bit guests.

That is correct. You should also take a look at the ESX(i) documentation which provides system minimum requirements: http://www.vmware.com/support/pubs/vs_pages/vsp_pubs_esx40_vc40.html

True.

In order to support 64bit guests the CPU must be 64bit and must have VT technology.

Or the CPU must be a Rev. D or later AMD64 processor. See KB 1901.

ESXi 4 can only be installed on 64bit hardware and support 64bit guests.

ESXi 4 can only be installed on 64-bit hardware. In order to support 64-bit guests, it has the same hardware/firmware requirements as ESXi 3.5. (Of course, it can still support 32-bit guests.)
