ESXi 3.5 Create and remove a Snaphot automatically

Hello,

i use ESXi 3.5 and i want to create and remove automatically a snaphot.

I try this with RCLI

C:\Programme\VMware\VMware VI Remote CLI\bin>vmware-cmd.pl -U root -P nopass -H VMWBDF03 /vmfs/volumes/48a449e9-729aa56c-43ac-003005fa3506/TS3BDF29/TS3BDF29.vmx createsnapshot Test test1 1 1

This works fine, but i can't remove only one snaphot, only all :-(.

I want to remove the snaphot eg. "Test" and create an new one "Test" daily.

Is this possible?

Maybee with the VMWare toolkit?

Have someone an example?

Thanks

Dennis

I'm not sure about the VI Toolkit, but a quick glance at the VIX API documentation indicates that there are functions in that API that allow you to remove a specific snapshot. Of course, with the VIX API this means writing a program to do this Smiley Happy.
