Hi I’m new user of ESX & I want to practice on it befor instaling on my server,
so can
i install ESX server on VMware workstation on my Laptop?
Perhaps. ESX 4 is supported as a guest under Workstation 7. However, your system must have a CPU on which we support hardware-assisted virtualization (see ).
Yes as long as your laptop is somewhat recent and has a CPU that has VT (virtualization technology). If you have a intel core duo or core2duo you should be fine. Where you get a little hairy is if you're running a Celeron model. Workstation 7 will support ESX as a guest OS which is awesome, but it will hit your laptop resources pretty hard, so don't expect it to be lighting fast.
