ESX 4i bzw. ESX i3 virtuelle Maschinen sichern

Hallo Allerseits,

(also ohne runterfahren der Virtuellen Maschinen)

Schau Dir mal vRanger Pro an. (ESXRanger)

VMware Consolidated Backup (vcb) should do it. i have tested vcb together with veeam backup in an esx3i environment and it works smoothly! if your vm's are standard windows server it allows you to make online backups and filelevel or complete vm restores

you need to take care if you are running sql, exchange, oracle or some other transactional applications.

have not tested esx4i yet, but from the spec sheet it should be supported as well.

no additional licence for vcb is necessary. veeam backup is licensed on a per socket basis. the quote on veeam backup i got was about 420eur per socket.

you can download vcb and veeam backup for a free test period. download it and give it a try ...
