ESX 3.5i for 64 bit machine?.

Hi All,

Is ESX 3.5i is available for 64 bit machine?. As i didn;t find any ESX3.5i exectuable for 64 bit machines.

I am using Dell 2850 64bit machine, if i use ESX3.5i on this and creating 64 bit virtual machine will work as same as running 64 bit OS on physical machine?.

Please answer me on this. Thanks in advance.

if your bios has virtualization technology and your enable this for it to work it's called vt just enable that and you will be able to run 64 bit guest os on your esxi server.

Mark my answer helpful if i'm right

ESX 3.5 itself is 32bit.

You are able to run 64bit VMs if your host supports VT/SVM/RVI.

Yes, its either called VT for Intel or AMD-V / SVM for AMD. Depending on your BIOS it will be called Virtualization Technology or something similar and its usually disabled by default.
