Downsize a vm

I've increased the size of my vm, but I need to reduce this. Virtual center won't let me do this, only lets me increase. How would I go about changing the size?

i'm assuming your want to shrink the HDD or your guest? If so, the best method would be to use VMware Converter.

I want to shrink the guest. I've just installed the vmware converter. I'm not sure how I'm meant to use it... Is there a tutorial anywhere that explains this?

if you've never used converter before, see http://www.vmware.com/pdf/converter_standalone_guide401.pdf , around page 65
