Doubts about Esxi' licenses

Hi,

We have some doubts about adding an ESXi server to an already existing infrastructure.

Our datacenter has 4 licensed ESX servers 3.5 , and a VMWare Infrastructure Enterprise 2.5 (Virtual Center 2.5).

If we were to acquire a ESXi server, which licenses do we need to buy to have all the features we already use with the ESX servers, like VMotion, HA, DRS and management.

Welcome to the Forums - You will need to acquire an Virtual Center Agent license. a VMotion license, an HA license and a DRS license - all of these are licensed per CPU in the ESXi host - you can buy them independently or bundled as an Enterprise license which will save you money over buying them independently - you get pricing form your VMware reseller -
