Disk error 80, AX=4280, Drive 9F

Hi

Just trying to install ESXi (U3) on a IBM XSERIES_225 server

with IBM ServeRAID 6i controller and 3 scsi disks setup as an Raid 5.

But when I try to do the install, after "loading ISO" screen, I get the following message:

Disk error 80, AX=4280, Drive 9F

Someone that have a hint to this error ?? :smileygrin:

I was lucky !!!

I try to burn a new cd on a lower speed (x2) and vupti, everything went fine :smileygrin: :smileygrin: :smileygrin:

Hi olefriis, is your ESXi working fine? I have to install an ESXi onto this same hardware. Is this a production environment server?

I ran into the same problem with a DELL. The problem turned out to be the CDROM, too. I burned it on a memorex 24x CDRW, using a mac, Disk Utility on 16x speed. Disk was verified ok after burning. The same problem showed up during boot. I burned it again on a 2x DVDRW and it was fine.
