Copy VM manually

Hello,

I have ESXi free in 2 identical physical servers. Only I go to virtualice 8 servers Windows-linux, balanced in the 2 servers physical (4VM and 4VM). In case of fallen of 1 physical server the other physical server should assume the 8 VM (is well measured of resources). If I copy a VM of a server to another server ESXi with the "Browser Directory" and a PC bridge, ¿as open-registration this VM in the new physical server? Do I have anything special?

Thanks and greetings.

Use a shared storage (NFS or iSCSI), make the storage available to both hosts and place the VMs on the shared storage.

If one host fails you can register the VMs on the second host and start them.

You don't need VC for this.

Simply open the datastore browser (right click the storage LUN and select "Browse Datastore"), browse to the VM folder, right click the VMX file and select "Add to Inventory".
