Converter 4.0.1 says "unable to obtain hardware information" for Linux5 VMs

ESXi 4.0.1, Converter 4.0.1

I am able to use converter on some OpenBSD VMs that I built just fine. However, when trying to convert Debian GNU/Linux 5 (32-bit) machines, Converter says "Unable to obtain hardware information for the selected machine." (They are powered off when I try the conversion.) It does this for each of my Debian VMs, each of which was cloned from a master VM (and I can't convert that VM either), and each of which otherwise run just fine.

Anyon know what this message means and how I would go about fixing it?

I found I could solve this problem by temporarily setting the OS type to Suse, running converter,then setting the OS type back to Linux5.

This is clearly a bug in Converter and should be fixed.
