Cannot install Windows XP with SP2 on ESXi

When I try to install the OS from Windows XP iso, I get the following message:

"Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed on your computer. Make sure your hard disk drives are powered on properly connected to your computer, and that any hard drisk related configuration is correct. This may involve running a manufacturer-supplied diagnostic or setup program Setup cannot continue."

I have installed Windows Server 2003 and 2008 on this ESXi host with no problem. What am I missing?

Did you install the SCSI driver during the install so XP can recognize the virtual SCSI card?
