I have a ESXi 3.5 Update 4 install virtually on my laptop using VMware workstation 6.5. Everything is working, I can manage my ESXi from the VI client and manage my VM guest inside it. However, when I try to use the VMware Infrastructure Update client to update its, i keeping getting the same error
the patches I try to use are
ESXe350-200904201-O-SG.zip
ESXe350-200904401-O-SG.zip
When I try to add (pre-cache) the files, it always come back with the following error
Package does not contain applicable updates
I am on a Vista 64bits desktop, does this have anything to do with its? I have send this up similar on an XP desktop updating a physical ESXi server without issue. Any insight would be strongly appreicated
