Can VM ping outside address on ESXi 3.5

Hi all,

I newly installed ESXi 3.5 and created a VM, installed Windows 2003 Enterprised Server.

However, the Windows server cannot ping to outside address but can ping to the ESXi Management Network only.

Is ESXi supporting bridged mode for routing? How to do so?

Yes surely this can ping the outside world, where your Client VM get's it IP address? just make sure you put the right dns and default gateway for your machine,

Have you a diferent vlan for your vm?

And what about routing?

Bridge mode is routing mode. You should config it in your VM`s config.
