After installing ESXi and Reboot, the server cannot find any system

ESXI 3.5 with HP Tools

First, I use the CD supplied with the server : SmartStart 8.3 to configure the RAID.

After installing ESXI and configure the Network (TCP/IP), I use VMWARE Client and my first surprise was that the it's ask me to configure the datastore, normally, It's done when Intsllaing the ESXI.

After installing ESXi and Reboot, the server cannot find any system, and try the reboot from the Network.

any Idea ?

It has been a while but if I remember when creating the datastore there is a question about free space or whole disk. If whole disk is chosen the ESXi install is overwritten. Since you have the option I would consider the install to the internal SD card (you need to add the card). There is an internal SD slot specifically for this type of install.
