After P2V windows web server 2008 several driver issues

Hi All,

I am using

- Virtual centre cersion 2.5 build 227637

- Used VMware converter enterprise

- Migrated a server windows web server 2008 x32

- Except for antivirus there is nothing i could uninstall

- Intel xeon cpu 3.2 ghz (So not a really old one)

After migration into esxi 3.5 update 5

- I did not have error during the conversion and it did not have an older version of the converter agent

- After the migration booting up the server had no issues.

- Once i logged in there were several devices which had problem with the drivers this includes processor, network adapters and controllers etc.

- I cannot connect to the internet as the network adapter drivers are not available.

- Found the intel drivers and tried updating it and still failed.

- Tried the conversion again and it is same.

Really need the help as this project is having a critical deadline.

Hi Karthik,

Please confirm if you have installed the VMware tools after the migration, this would install the required drives on the server.

Hi Vijay,

Yes VMware tools were installed after the migration.

Even uninstall and a reinstallation of the tools did not work for me.
