Accessing /etc/modules/conf remotely

I've heard of some sort of Remote Admin package that will let you access stuff like '/etc/modules/conf' remotely...maybe through some API? Is there such a thing?

It is possible to enable SSH access on the ESXi host. It is unsupport.

You can then use putty for Windows or some other ssh client to access the server.

Thanks for the input. I've heard you can activate SSH access manually (on the server), but I'm trying to access the modules.conf file on an ESXi server remotely (and not have to manually turn on any access on the ESXi itself) through the API or MOB maybe?
