ASUS P5Q Pro Core 2 Quad processor shows 1 CPU

Hello,

I have installed ESX 3.5i on an ASUS P5Q Pro motherboard with Core 2 Quad processor (Q6600) and 8GB memory

On the summary page it shows "Processors: 1 CPU x 2.4GHz"

On the Configuration page it shows "Processor soket : 1, Processor cores per socket : 1"

See attached images.

I cannot seem to figure out why it is showing 1 CPU instead of 4 CPUs?

Am I missing something???

I was thinking about getting the same system board, do you recommend for or against this model board.

Do you have any recommendations for a system board which you know that just works with ESXi

I haven't had any issue with the motherboard so far.

The issue which i posted above has been solved since i changed some of the settings in BIOS.

I am having the same issue with that board and cpu - what bios settings did you change to get past this?
