AMD Opteron 250 Compatiblity question with ESXi

I have been using VMware Server 1.x and 2.x for some time now. I am looking at switching to ESXi so that I can run more servers without RAM limitations of Microsoft OS's. I want to purchase a used dual AMD Opteron 250 system for initial testing and couldn't find any compatibility references to the 250. I found it for the 246 processor which is in same 200 family, but just wanted to verify before I pulled the trigger on this unit purchase.

The processor doesn't usually cause problems with ESXi unless it's one of the newer processors on the market. Any processor that's been on the market for a year or more ought to be well supported.

Yes, the server accepted 4.1 ESXi installation without issue...thank you
