AHCI Emulation

Is there a way to emulate AHCI in esxi (any version) ?

What do you mean with "emulate AHCI"? Inside a VM? Or on a host level?

What's the purpose of this?

Inside a VM

because when I am developing my image, if I have a newer model that has AHCI on by default OR AHCI only (HP 3105m), a configuration developed with any of my vms will not worked, it'll have to be done on a physical machine.

If I can find a way to emulate AHCI inside a VM, that should help me dramatically (in theory).
