Hello,
on a ESXi server a 64Bit RHEL 5 did run very well. After a service issue of this dell server we got a new, but same mainboard. But from now on my RHEL does not start with the message:
'Your CPU does not support long mode. Use a 32 Bit distribution.'
My system conf:
1x CORE 2 DUO E6400
4 GB RAM
Intel 975X Express chipset
and this is the vmx file:

Boot your server and go into the BIOS configuration. Locate the setting for VT and enable it.

Thank you, this option was so easy that I did not had the idea to check this by myself. Now it works again.
