vmdb_pipestreams

Could someone please explain what this process is, and what it effects. We recently had a sluggish vm that required a reboot. This could have been due the Windows OS installed on the vm, but I like to check every outlet. The only errors mentioned anywhere in the ESX server were within the VM log itself:

vmx| vmdbPipe_Streams Couldn't read: OVL_STATUS_EOF

vmx| SOCKET 1 client closed connection

Perhaps this is a typical error message, and means nothing. But I would like some explanation on what exactly the is indicating.
