We have a virtual machine outage experienced by running the netmon tool and get a "ping failure"
There is nothing in the /var/log/vmkernel file for the ESX Server hosting the virtual machine nor in the "tasks and events" in VIrtual Center Server to indicate that there is any activity which could be causing this outage.
I have also looked at the /vmfs/volumes/<datastore>/<virtual-machine-name>/vmware.log file and there is nothing happening at the time the outage occurred. In fact it looks like a networking issue - any ideas as to what this could be or what to look for and do next?
