vSphere Client + VI3

Not sure if this question belongs here or in the vSphere category as it pertains to both. I installed the vSphere Client and it is being used in a VI3 environment. The system with the client installed authenticates via AD. While selecting the checkbox to use the credentials of the currently logged on user, I noticed the username gets populated correctly, but the password field remains emtpy. Thinking this was intentional, I try to log in and receive a message back saying bad username and password. If I uncheck this box and type in the same credentials as the user currently logged in it works fine. What am I missing?

Hope this helps! === If you find this information useful, please award points for "correct" or "helpful". ===

I believe to get the pass-thru authentication out of the box using the vSphere Client you have to connect to a vCenter4 instance.

If connecting to a VI3 environment try editing the shortcut.
